Mozilla Firefox: File does not appear in File Manager when Uploading

In writing blogs and articles online, I occasionally experience issues where a recent image copied to a folder is not displayed when being uploaded to an e-mail, photo, or blog service.  When opening Dolphin, the file is there, but when uploading the file itself, the file manager in the application does not display it.

In this example, I'm uploading hotmail.png to Blogger.com.  The File manager does not display hotmail.png when uploading.

The hotmail.png file is, however, present in Dolphin and displayed on the folder.

A simple workaround is typing the filename manually in the Name box.  Apparently, the issue does not occur in Google Chrome or Chromium but only occurs in KDE and Mozilla Firefox.  Moreover, pressing F5 to refresh the contents in Dolphin doesn't work either.
