Linux on Film: Coupling episode "Faithless"

The British TV series Coupling (2003-2004) is an unlikely show for Linux to have a cameo appearance in. The TV show, created by Steven Moffat (who also co-produced the popular 2010 series Sherlock), focused on relationships and situation comedy with its quirky cast of British singles. In the episode "Faithless," the flirty weather news reporter Jane, played by the lovely Gina Bellman (who is currently appearing in the American show Leverage), corners a religious commentator in the stockroom and hilariously attempts (and fails) to seduce him.

Jane makes her move . . . with SUSE Linux making a photobomb. Screencap from the Coupling episode "Faithless".

As she makes her futile attempt to retain the interest of the devout Catholic, a boxed copy of SUSE Linux can be seen on a shelf to her right. She may have failed in her attempt but she made a great choice working for a news company that uses SUSE Linux! openSUSE, the open source counterpart of SUSE Enterprise, has recently gained second wind with its excellent openSUSE 12.3 release and users who haven't tried the RPM-based distribution should give it a go. openSUSE has one of the best KDE desktops available and has great hardware support.
