OpenSUSE gets a nod in September's issue of Microsoft's MSDN Magazine. Although the screenshot on the article showed a dated openSUSE release (openSUSE 64-bit 12.1 Beta), it's always good to see a reference to a Linux distribution on a Microsoft website, particularly one as well-respected as MSDN. The "online-only" feature article is more of an overview than a tutorial though the writer refers to his June blog entries for a more detailed setup process involving Windows Azure, openSUSE, and Drupal.
Regardless of anyone's opinion about Windows Azure and Microsoft in general, any effort for technologies to co-exist is always welcome. Although Microsoft articles about their products always comes off as self-serving and more of an advertisement than anything else, I'd certainly like to see more Microsoft professionals writing tutorials involving Linux.
